Back to the Dye Pot - 20 Silk Scarves, a Big Metal Pot, and Colors Galore that are destined for Nuno Felting

The Colors:
Light Blue
Yellow-Orange
Sage Green
Ecru
Blue-Purple
Chartreuse
Mahogany
& Robin's Egg Blue

Here's my latest attempt at dyeing silk chiffon scarves with professional acid dyes. These are destined for nuno felting eventually. I was trying to achieve some of the popular colors for Fall and Winter. It seems to me that all shades of purple as well as blues and greens are very strong this year. I've also seen some traditional Fall colors like browns and oranges. Overall I'm pretty happy with the way my colors turned out. I can't wait to nuno felt them and add a bit of flair to the bold, bright solid colors. I just the love the fact that my nuno felted scarves are all one-of-a-kinds. And, you never know quite how they will turn out. It is very satisfying to dye most of the scarves myself too. I love that feeling of starting from scratch and making something functional and beautiful too.

Please check my Etsy shop for the latest nuno felted scarf listings for sale.

  1. I can't seem to take my eyes off of that yellow-orange. They are all fantastic colors, but that one is a stunner!
