Allow me to introduce myself . . . I'm Shalana, a.k.a. the funky felter. As far as my life goes, I was born and raised in a small, rural town in southern Missouri. You know the kind of place - there are generally more cows than people. I currently live in the burbs of Kansas City where people far out number cows. My husband, Stephen, and I are happily married. We have two furry children, an Irish Setter named Cinnamon and Dutch Rabbit named Junior. I do have naturally red hair, with the exception of a little help once in a while to cover the naturally gray hair. Other than those fun facts, I graduated from Harding University with a Bachelor of Fine Arts, emphasis in graphic design. Although I do enjoy working as a teacher of graphic design for a local community college, fiber art, especially felting, has become my artistic passion! I hope that you enjoy your visit. Please contact me with your questions or comments and visit my online shop and gallery to see more of my fiber art and other crafty endeavors.
