Handmade, hand felted wool scarves

The weather is finally starting to feel like Fall where I live. It is still a bit warm for this time of year, but definitely coming on scarf season. I've also felt much more like making scarves lately with the seasons changing. Here's a couple of my latest pieces of wearable fiber art to spice up your neck and keep it warm too!

All of my scarves are unique in the sense that I create them through the wet felting method directly from the raw wool fibers. They aren't woven, knitted, or crocheted before the fulling, or shrinking, process. Although some of my designs are similar, all individual scarves are truly one-of-a-kind pieces due to the process of their creation. They are very warm, durable, soft, and light weight too. And, I know what some of you are thinking - "Aren't they itchy?" Well, for the most part, I'd say a resounding "NO!" unless you have a wool allergy. I ordinarily use the finest types of wool available for any of my next to the skin items such as my handmade felted wool scarves. You can see more of my one-of-a-kind scarves in my Etsy shop. I'll also be making more and adding more to my shop throughout the Fall and winter.

  1. Hi! I really love the red one. Your felt work is great, I saw you on etsy and had to check out the blog.
