Praise Be to the Lord my Rock...
a salute to our modern day warriors
In light of Veteran's Day this past week, I felt this verse was rather appropriate for a "Scripture Saturday" post this week. The photo was taken by my husband many years back on a hill overlooking Duluth, Minnesota, one foggy evening.
If you are a veteran, or modern day warrior, my heartfelt thanks. If you love a veteran and have endured their service as well, I thank you too, for it is a hard journey to love and care for a warrior.
God bless you and your weekend!
Psalm 144:1-2(NIV)
Of David.
1 Praise be to the Lord my Rock,
who trains my hands for war,
my fingers for battle.
2 He is my loving God and my fortress,
my stronghold and my deliverer,
my shield, in whom I take refuge,
who subdues peoples under me.
who trains my hands for war,
my fingers for battle.
2 He is my loving God and my fortress,
my stronghold and my deliverer,
my shield, in whom I take refuge,
who subdues peoples under me.
The Bible is one of the greatest blessings bestowed by God on the children of men. It has God for its author; salvation for its end, and truth without any mixture for its matter. It is all pure.~ Nadia Brightman
