Over the weekend, I went to my wonderful local hair stylist and chatted with her about what to do. The solution that we decided on was a very short "pixie" style hair cut to even out my hair length. This new cut is really radical for me! I am use to having chin length or longer bob style hair cuts. I think that I'm going to need a while to adjust. On the other hand, it is super easy to care for. It takes less than 10 minutes to blow dry and style! That's a big plus with a baby to run around after all day. As long as it is this length, I might as well have fun with it. Just wanted to share... Hope you are having a wonderful "hump day" today!
It is rather short, but at least it looks like a "style", and it is a lovely shade of red too.

Also, IMH, you appear many years younger. I think you like it and it shows.

There is something absolutely freeing with a short pixie 'do! You look cute!!
ReplyDeleteIt's a cute! Also, I know how it feels to lose large amounts of hair - it happened to me. Only heriditary was the culprit - thank god - it stopped falling out and I have enough hair to cover my head.
ReplyDeletePussDaddy, I like the idea of it, but I feel like my face is just too fat for this kind of hair cut. Thanks for the compliments! My husband told me that he thinks it make me look older :( But he's a man, what does he know. It certainly makes me feel younger :O)
ReplyDeleteIt is very freeing Lynn. I agree whole-heartidly!
Dancing Monkey, maybe misery loves company, but it is nice to know that I'm not alone. Hair thinning runs in my family so I hope what I have is here to stay because it doesn't feel like much right now ;O)
Thanks all!!
I'm glad you went with the short cut. It looks like a real 'style', now and I think it's better to exert some control over something that might make you feel a little powerless..."Take that, hair follicles!!" Grin.
ReplyDeleteYour hair looks cute Shalana. Hair loss after pregnancy should resolve over time. Hang in there.... I actually have days that I get so frustruated with my hair, I wish I could just do a 'Sinead O Connor' and call it a day!
ReplyDeleteIt can be scary, I had to cut all my hair off after a bad bleaching accident in college. I was self conscious about for a while, but then you realize you can't hide anymore & it's very freeing!! Gotta work with what you got!! You look FABULOUS!!
ReplyDeleteLooks GREAT! You're a fiber artist and we know, Funky so you just did you usual with your own funky fiber follicles. I'm a short hair person and have cut my own, dyed it lots of colors (not at one time - well, maybe 3). It is fun!!
