Discontinuing Project Wonderful Ad Spots

I just wanted to let my readers know that I've decided to discontinue my project wonderful ad spots. These use to be located in the lower portion of my right side bar. Although I sincerely liked having Etsy and ArtFire shops as well as other artist and crafters advertise through those ad boxes, I noticed that there have been more and more miscellaneous bids on my ad boxes that I did not feel fit well with my blog overall. Since the ad boxes only earned pennies a day, it did not seem worth the trouble to keep them around. Overall, I do think that project wonderful serves its purpose and can provide inexpensive advertising so that was not the issue. I may decide to reinstate the ad boxes in the future or offer private advertising boxes, but that is something yet to be determined. Anyway, I just wanted to let you know.....

Have a wonderful weekend! The weather is beautiful here, and I hope that it is where you are as well. I am shopping for a baby crib and other baby stuff this afternoon. Yay! Gotta love pay day!

Great Advertising Opportunity: The Funky Felter's Holiday Shopping Guide for Handmade Arts and Crafts

I've decided to do a Holiday Shopping Guide to go along with my main website. It is an inexpensive advertising opportunity with the potential for good exposure. Between my blog and main website, I receive over 4,500 visitors a month. That's a possibility of over 12,000 new potential buyers finding you! Ad spots are only $28 for the 3 month long featured shopping guide. Compared to other indie advertising spots and guides, it is quite an inexpensive investment. After much research and purchasing of advertising on my own, I decided to host the holiday shopping guide to offer my fellow artists and crafters an affordable option. I'm also opening up the opportunity for you to grab the attention of my many loyal visitors.

If you are interested in participating, please go to my website for all the details. Please feel free to contact me or leave a comment with any questions.

Advertising now available on my blog! Buy an ad spot today through ProjectWonderful!

After using ProjectWonderful for a while as a means to advertise on other's sites and blogs, I've finally decided to place some of their hosted ad spots on my blog as well. I've also made them available for pennies to start out with. If you don't know about ProjectWonderful, it is a advertising oriented site where you can create your own account to bid on ad space at a variety of sites and blogs. You can also use it to place ad space on your own site or blog and profit from your ads. My goal is not really to profit though, but rather to fund advertising through ProjectWonderful on other sites and blogs. This creates a happy little cycle of advertising for my website without a lot of upfront expense. I highly recommend checking out ProjectWonderful to those artists and crafters who are on a smaller advertising and marketing budget. It is a great, inexpensive way to gain exposure for your blog, personal site, or Etsy shop.

As for my blog, please scroll down the left side bar to see what ad spots are available. I much prefer to approve ad spots for independent artists and crafters and plan to give them preference, but much of it will depend on the bidding itself. Right now ad space is only pennies a day! Since it is hosted through a bidding based site, the prices can fluctuate, but you always have the choice whether to bid or not. I may eventually place some ad spots on my personal website as well, but I'd like to see how it goes here first. It seems though, so far so good.
