Although I've been working as a graphic artist in print publications for several years, I am not as savvy when it comes to most things involving anything beyond basic html for web design. I often times rely on great resources that I come across online, and if it is a free service, then that's even better! Recently while updating the gallery page on my website, I came across an easy service for making great slide show presentations at Slide. You can also manipulate your photos there to add funny imagery and dialogue. It is free to sign up and use the service too, but you do have to put up with their logo and links at the bottom of your slide show. I think it is a small price to pay so that I don't have to worry about figuring out the code and other technicalities to do it myself. As I've said before, I'd rather be spending my time felting.
This is not the only website out there that offers slide show rendering. There's also Flash Slideshow Maker. I don't have any experience with this one personally, but the Kansas City Etsy Street Team blog uses it quite often in articles. I'm sure that there are many more options available too if you just do an internet search. I'm always on board for making life a little less technically complicated. And, it is a great way to show off all those wonderful handmade arts and crafts.
